Photo Merging using Enlighten.

Enlighten is an application that allows you to edit photographs by manipulating and merging them together.
I started with the two images below:

My aim was to merge these two images together to make my puppy look almost ghost like within the the foggy tree tops. I went to the merging tool and selected the photos I wanted to layer, choosing their colourings so that they would look as seamless as possible when the merge was complete.
I then set about erasing the areas of the top image (puppy) that I did not want to be present.
The outcome:

I was happy with the outcome, other than the bottom right hand corner and the shape and size of the image, as it would not be compatible with some social media formats. I then cropped the image to make it the desired size, and remove the bit I am not happy with.
The end result:

Prezi presentations.

Prezi is an online resource that allows you to create interactive and creative presentation that take their audience on a journey. Prior to this practice presentation I had never used prezi before, although I found it relatively easy to use and the outcome to be far higher quality than if I had made it using software such as Microsoft PowerPoint. In future presenting I will definitely be using this software again.
To begin this practice presentation I chose one of the ready made templates, although it is also possible to create your own templates that you can save for other presentations in the future (I did give this a try by could not find anything that I wanted to use as my over all theme). I chose the world map template, adding both a title and my name:

As this was a premade template all the text boxes and the path that the presentation too was already set, although I changed its path so that the presentation would go from right to left rather than the original left to right, mainly just to test out what the software could do and  how much control I had over the journey the presentation took.
Following this I set about filling in the interest areas:

As this presentation was simply to test my prezi abilities and test out the different ways in which it can be used I simply added some facts about each of the areas. Upon reflection i think that this software could be a valuable resource for all teachers or presenting professionals as it creates a mood board style presentation that can be travelled around rather than the standard flick through of slides.
If I was to make another Prezi presentation i think that i would create my own original template that relates to the particular topic being presented, as it would make this process more creative and individual.

Blogs.

Evidently from the format of this E-portfolio, I am able to create and design a blog. This particular blog was created for the soul purpose of displaying and commenting on my own creativity with technology. I chose the theme image and colours to represent this purpose and made the blog original by not using one of the current blogger templates.
Alongside this blog I actually have my own personal blog where I upload my thoughts and opinions about elements of day to day life, that I have created using the same layout but a very different theme due to the very different purpose.
As you can see from the screen shot below:

Both the name of the blog and theme represent a very different purpose. This blog is used as more of a scrap book and is very informal in both the language used and the over all doodle design. My other blog is also much more public than this one, currently having over 1200 views since its creation. With this only having 20 since going live in January 2016.

Video presentations.

During the course of this academic year i had to create a video presentation for one of my other modules.
I began by creating a standard PowerPoint presentation that contained all the information required for the assignment, ensuring that I had both a space for the video to be imported as well as making sure that the theme was consistent throughout.
Below is an image of the PowerPoint creating process:

After creating the PowerPoint I downloaded a software program call Camtasia. It allows you to video and voice record both yourself presenting and whatever is currently on the computer screen, whilst also facilitating the editing of each project.
Sadly, my trial of this software has expired which means that I am un able to show this process via screenshots but the end result was an MP4 video that incorporated both my PowerPoint presentation, as well as the ability to see and hear me present the information on each slide.
This is demonstrated below:
